What this policy covers

This policy explains how ilnk.it handles information when you use the platform and its services, including short links and hosted bio pages, blogs, and stores. A site owner or seller may also collect information for their own activities. Their notices and the policies of services they include apply to that collection.

For questions about ilnk's handling of your information, use Contact us. For questions about an individual store order or a creator's advertising, contact that store or site owner as well.

Information you provide

The information processed depends on the features you use.

  • Account information: your email address, display name, account identifier, and authentication information handled by Firebase and your chosen sign-in provider.
  • Content and settings: link destinations, page names and slugs, social links, articles, product listings, uploaded files, domains, and publishing preferences.
  • Orders and billing: subscription status, provider references, amounts, and order records. Store checkout may collect a buyer's name, email, phone number, delivery address, country, and optional note.
  • Connected seller accounts: credentials supplied to connect payment services. These are stored encrypted and used to operate the selected payment integration.
  • Support: the email address, message, and optional name you submit through Contact us. These messages are available to the administrator.

Visitor analytics and technical information

ilnk records visits and clicks to provide reports to the owner of a link or hosted page. Reports can include the time and page visited, an approximate country, a device category such as mobile or desktop, and the referring website's hostname.

The app's visitor analytics records do not store raw IP addresses or the full referring URL. Separate security processing may use technical request information: for example, the app uses a temporary hashed identifier to limit repeated requests, and infrastructure providers may process IP addresses and security logs.

A site owner can see analytics for their own resources. Platform activity records are available to the administrator for operating and securing the service.

How information is used

Information is used to provide sign-in and hosting, publish the content you select, route links and domains, process subscriptions and orders, produce analytics, prevent misuse, investigate technical issues, and answer support requests.

Where applicable, processing relies on providing the services you request, complying with legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or consent where required.

Information you publish

Published pages, articles, product listings, images, social links, and other public content can be viewed by visitors and indexed by search engines. Anyone with a short link can follow it to its destination. Do not publish private information or files that you do not intend to share.

Removing content from ilnk does not necessarily remove copies previously saved by visitors, search engines, or other services.

Providers and other recipients

ilnk uses Cloudflare for hosting, storage, routing, and security, and Google Firebase for account authentication and identity information. The interface may load fonts from Google Fonts. Payment processing uses the provider selected for the transaction, such as Stripe, PayPal, or Paddle. Payment details entered in a provider's checkout are handled by that provider; ilnk receives the transaction information needed to manage the purchase.

When you buy from a user-created store, the seller receives the order and contact information needed to provide customer service and fulfill the order. Payment providers, infrastructure providers, and site owners have their own responsibilities and privacy practices.

Provider information: Cloudflare, Google, Stripe, PayPal, and Paddle.

Embeds, advertising, and browser storage

Creators can include external images, YouTube videos, and advertising code on their sites. Viewing those features may send information to external services or allow those services to use cookies and similar technologies. The site owner is responsible for selecting those features and providing any required notices and consent choices.

Read the Cookies & Local Storage page for information about sign-in storage, carts, and browser controls.

Retention, security, and international processing

Account and content records are retained as needed to operate the service. Order, subscription, security, and support records may need to be retained to resolve requests, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete an account or its records.

Access restrictions and other safeguards help protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Cloud infrastructure and payment providers may process information outside your country; contact us if you have questions about this processing.

Your choices and requests

You can edit available account and publishing settings from your dashboard and use the available controls to remove your content. You may also request access, correction, deletion, or other rights available under applicable law.

Send a request through Contact us using the email associated with your account or order. Identify the records concerned without sending a password, API key, or full payment-card details. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons. You may also have the right to contact the relevant data-protection authority.

Children and policy updates

The service is intended for people who can lawfully use it and enter the required agreements. If you believe a child has supplied personal information without the authorization required by law, contact us.

Changes to this policy will be published on this page with an updated date. Check the current policy when deciding how to use the service.
